Visits & booking
How can I visit the residence?
+
Get in touch with us and we'll set a day and time for your visit. We're open every day. We'll show you around and answer all your questions. Come and see what will be your new home in La Seu d'Urgell!
How much do I pay to book, and is there a deposit?
+
The booking fee is €100, and the deposit is one month's rent. Once the contract is signed, the €100 is deducted from your first month's payment. If you'd like the booking form, email us at hola@laresi.cat. Secure your spot!
If I book now but don't end up starting university, do I get a refund?
+
If the booking turns into a contract, it's deducted from your first month's payment. If the contract isn't signed by the planned date for any reason, the booking fee isn't refunded. The deposit (tied to the contract) is refunded at the end of the year once you move out properly.
Rooms
Can I have a single room?
+
la resi – Casa García is a four-storey building with room for 18 students, with single or shared double rooms. There are 6 single rooms, so as long as one is free, it can be yours.
Can I choose my room?
+
As long as it's available, you can request the room you'd like. Management assigns rooms based on your preferences.
Is there a study area?
+
Every room has a fold-down desk fixed to the wall, out of the way when you don't need it. There's also "la biblio," a dedicated study space on the top floor — quiet and completely separate from the gaming room, dining rooms, kitchen or terrace.
Are the rooms mixed?
+
All residents are over 18. Double rooms are usually kept separate, but mixed rooms are available on request. Overall, the residence is mixed.
Can I personalise my room?
+
You can decorate it however you like, as long as it's back to how you found it by the end of your stay. No drilling holes to hang pictures.
Bathrooms & cleaning
How many bathrooms and showers are there?
+
la resi has just been renovated: bathrooms and showers are spacious and fully equipped, shared between 2 or 3 people. Yours will always be within 3 metres of your room.
Is there storage for personal toiletries?
+
Yes, each resident has personal cabinets, trays and/or shelving in the bathroom, plus the same in the pantry, with individual space allocated.
Do I need to bring my own sheets and towels?
+
No, everything's provided: bedding, duvets, towels, shower and bath soap, and laundry detergent and softener.
Does the price include cleaning and fresh bedding?
+
Yes, rooms are cleaned weekly. Bedding, towels and duvets are also included in the price.
Food & kitchen
Do you offer a meal service? Full board or more flexible?
+
You get an app with a wallet that adapts to your needs: order meals, swap dishes, ask for two starters, get early delivery for a picnic-style outing, or cancel/change with 24 hours' notice (before noon). A full menu (2 courses, dessert, bread and water) costs €8.90.
What kind of food is served?
+
We work with Seu&Go, the local central kitchen, serving healthy meals made with local, seasonal ingredients, free of preservatives and inert gas. Residents choose between several options for each meal through a simple app.
How does the kitchen work? Is it open all day?
+
It has everything you need to cook a proper meal or make breakfast: microwaves, toasters, juicers, mixers, and cupboards stocked with plates, pots, pans and utensils. Open 24 hours.
Where can I store food?
+
Next to the kitchen there's a large pantry with fridges, an industrial freezer, shelving and lockable individual cupboards for each resident.
Services & living
Is there space for sports gear, like a bike?
+
Yes, private CCTV-monitored bike parking, plus lockable storage in the courtyard for skis, snowboards and other equipment.
Is there a laundry room?
+
Yes, with washing machines, dryers, a sink and a drying rack, free to use. Detergent, softener and an iron are always available.
Does the monthly fee cover utilities and internet?
+
Yes. Wifi throughout the building, high-speed fibre via LAN in the TV and gaming areas, and all utilities included in your monthly fee.
From when can I move in? Can I stay outside term time?
+
You can move in from the first week of September. At Christmas and Easter, la resi is still your home — we're open 365 days a year. To stay over summer, we'll arrange it when you sign the contract or beforehand.
Is there a curfew?
+
You run your own schedule and decide when you come and go, as long as you respect the peace and quiet of other residents and the neighbourhood.
Can my friends stay over?
+
There are set visiting hours to show friends or family around. For someone to stay overnight occasionally, you need express approval from management.
How do I report a maintenance issue?
+
Email the residence or call the team directly. We'll give you an emergency contact number for urgent situations.
Can I leave my things when there are no classes?
+
You can leave everything in your room over Christmas and Easter. For summer, ask at the office or email us at hola@laresi.cat.
